South County Crime Stoppers is a Tip-Line designed to allow individuals with information that will lead to the solving or preventing of crimes to report information to police regarding the location of wanted suspects, the recovery of stolen property or solving of crimes in the community.
Callers do not have to give their name, and they are eligible to receive a reward up to $1,000.
Our tip line 823-INFO is staffed 24 hours a day. Callers will be asked specific information regarding the information they are providing. The operator will provide them with a number that is unique to the call. The caller is advised to retain that number and if they have additional information regarding original call to use the number and once they have heard of an arrest or recovery of property they can call 823-INFO and find out if a reward has been issued. At no time does the caller have to give their name or identify themselves.
South County Crime Stoppers is operated under the authority of the Manteca Chief of Police and is managed by a board of volunteers representing the communities served by South County Crime Stoppers.
If you are interested in serving on the Crime Stoppers Board, contact Rex Osborn at 456-8144.
